Job description

Subject Matter Expert | Printmaking:Transformative Print
Salary: $3,500 per course built
Location: Remote (USA)

Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design (RMCAD) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert (SME) to build Printmaking: Transformative Print, a studio course within Fine Arts. This course introduces concepts and strategies for approaching installation and constructed objects through a print-based lens. Students are encouraged to merge printmaking and 3D techniques to cultivate the delivery of concepts in a considered space. Students will gain a solid working knowledge of screen printing, including film preparation, digital film outputting, multi-color registration, printing methods on paper, and alternative surfaces to create 3D works.RMCAD seeks a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to design the course curriculum, ensuring it’s prepared for launch.
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with instructional designers and fellow faculty members to develop an engaging and innovating course
  • Mentor and support students in their creative and technical endeavors, fostering an applied and experiential learning environment
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and expansion of our Fine Arts Program
Qualifications:
  • Master's degree or higher
  • Experience in course design and development processes for in-person and online delivery
  • Proven track record of successful experiential and applied approaches to student learning
  • Experience or knowledge of fine arts education at the college level, and proficiency in using learning management systems and online teaching tools to support instruction

Review of applications will begin as soon as possible and continue until the position is filled. Ideally, RMCAD aims for the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to construct the course, ensuring it’s prepared for launch by the fall A semester.
