Job Description

This role operates a high-speed finishing machine, specifically a Tecnau cutter, to convert continuous rolls of printed paper into accurately trimmed individual sheets and mail pieces. You prepare printed materials such as postcards, letters, statements, invoices, and direct mail pieces for inserting, sorting, and mailing, working inline with high-speed inkjet printers to ensure that all finished pieces meet precise customer specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a Tecnau cutter high-speed finishing machine to convert continuous paper rolls into individual sheets and mail pieces.
  • Print statements, bills, and direct mail on continuous paper rolls and prepare them for finishing.
  • Feed continuous paper rolls into the Tecnau cutter and ensure smooth machine operation throughout the production run.
  • Set up and adjust cutting specifications according to job requirements and customer standards.
  • Trim postcards, letters, statements, invoices, and direct mail pieces to their final size accurately and consistently.
  • Monitor production quality during operation to ensure proper cutting, stacking, and organization of printed pieces.
  • Clear paper jams promptly and troubleshoot equipment issues to minimize downtime.
  • Perform basic maintenance on the Tecnau cutter and related finishing equipment to keep machines in optimal working condition.
  • Verify that finished mail pieces meet customer specifications for size, quality, and format before moving them to mailing processes.
  • Coordinate the flow of finished pieces to inserters and mailing equipment for envelope insertion and postage application.
  • Prepare printed materials for subsequent inserting, sorting, and mailing activities in the distribution workflow.

Pay and Benefits
