Job description

Operations Manager

Marietta, GA We're a growing digital printing and sign center looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to join our team. You'll oversee day-to-day production across digital printing, signage, design, finishing/bindery, and related technology while ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery and excellent customer service. Work closely with an experienced crew to run and maintain a variety of equipment, prioritize the production queue, and troubleshoot workflow issues. You'll also coordinate vendor relationships and manage complex projects and supply-chain needs to meet deadlines and quality standards. Key traits: organized, process-oriented, tech-savvy, team player, and customer-focused. Experience in print or sign production, production scheduling, and basic project/vendor management preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Creates and maintains a customer first, winning culture to carry out the vision and plans of the business on a day-to-day basis
  • Works within an orderly and organized workflow while maintaining best in class industry standards
  • Communicates with employees on performance, safety requirements and enforces company procedures/policies
  • Manages costs in order to achieve budget in the areas of materials, payroll, and other variable expenses
  • Performs various responsibilities related to price bids on customized orders, vendor relations and other related tasks as required
  • Purchases materials, supplies and equipment, while controlling the work flow of inventory and use of equipment to support the needs of the business
  • Functions in a fast paced environment, under time constraints, while meeting the objectives set by the business for revenue and profit
  • Ability to solve problems, makes quick/accurate decisions, delegate tasks and achieve goals
  • Plans, organizes, schedules and directs the activities of assigned team members
  • Communicates on a personal level to inspire commitment and trust
  • Is open to ideas of others, allowing them to participate in decision-making
  • This is a salaried role, Monday through Friday
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years printing, graphic arts and digital design experience. Familiarity with current print and copy technology is expected
  • Solid production and/or manufacturing background desired
  • Is mature and self-confident; able to lead by example
  • Has a naturally inquisitive mind and loves to engineer unique solutions for clients and The Company. Seeks new and better methods to service our clients and test new products and production techniques to enhance product offering
  • Is open-minded, receptive to change, and is willing to learn new skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to lead, coach and motivate a team
  • Strong understanding of technology, specifically printing and design software, web-to-print and POS
  • Experience with business-to-business sales and relationships
  • Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud, Prepress and RIP software

Compensation: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
