Job description

Summertown Metals Is looking for a motivated individual to work in our Steel Truss shop. This is a full-time position which is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, vision, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, STD, LTD, life, 401K, PTO and vacation time.
Job Description for Truss Shop Welding Operator
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Keeping safety on the forefront of the welding process.
  • Adhering to company policies and standards.
  • Trusses are welded to print [engineered drawings].
  • Positive communication with other members of the team.
  • Daily production quotas are met, this is achieved with other team members.
  • Following the Jig Leaders instructions and corrective actions as needed.
  • Assist in stocking jigs daily for the current or next days production.
  • Production numbers are met or exceeded
  • Language and attitude are aligned with the company culture.
  • Workforce is accident free
  • Downtime is kept to a minimum
  • Quality meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Shop is clean and organized
