Job description

Responsibilities
  • Set up equipment per production requirements, adjust equipment, artwork, and/or materials to meet quality specifications, and report setup time. 
  • Rip artwork to press and maintain order status in MIS/ERP software. 
  • Operate equipment to produce press sheets in alignment to production order while ensuring on-equipment and run time targets are met and documented. 
  • Perform ongoing quality assurance checks on raw materials and color management inspections before, during and after production runs. 
  • Perform press operator-level maintenance and diagnostics on equipment as necessary to align to standard procedures and manufacturers specifications. 
  • Accurately complete all equipment logs. 
  • Provide direction to team members supporting job on press. 
  • Cross train on all departmental equipment. 
  • Ensure clean and hazard-free work center and comply with all applicable regulatory (OSHA and Department of Labor) requirements as well as Sheetz policies/procedures. 
  • Support continuous improvement efforts throughout the supply chain.

    Operate, set up, and troubleshoot digital printers and converting equipment to produce high-quality printed products in accordance with production requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations, while providing technical guidance and supporting efficient graphics manufacturing processes.  

    Qualifications

    (Equivalent combinations of education, licenses, certifications and/or experience may be considered)

    Education High School Diploma/GED preferred Technical / Trade training / Sheetz training preferred

    Experience Minimum 3 years' experience in print production operations required

    Licenses/Certifications None required

    Tools & Equipment  Hand tools (hammer, measuring devices, box cutter, wrench, level, etc.) Motorized Equipment (fork lift, etc.) Printing/Packaging Equipment
