POSITION SUMMARY:

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Repair perishable header tooling in support of the header department.
  • Issue tooling to Work orders and to the floor.
  • Ability to measure and inspect header tool to detect issues and insure to specification.
  • Able to read and understand too prints and tool assembly prints.
  • Ability to utilize Hobbing press to disassemble and assemble tools.
  • Ability to operate tool room machines to repair tools if needed (lathe, I.D/O.D grinder, hone and surface grinder) is a plus.
  • Interface with colleagues to distribute items from crib and properly perform transactions in the ERP system, transacting both incoming and outgoing items to the floor.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Follow all safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees
  • Create and maintain a safe work environment; repair and/or report non-conformances to company safety policies and guidelines
  • Perform the necessary safety requirements to avoid injury to self and fellow employees

Work Environment:
  • Clean, professional, well-kept manufacturing plant
  • Non air conditioned environment

Physical Demands:
  • 80% of the time sitting
  • Will require walking and standing as well for 10 hr. shift
  • Lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 30 lbs. regularly
  • Attention to detail is required

Education and Experience Required:
  • 3 years of cold heading experience or die assembly/repair in a cold heading environment.
  • Basic computer skills; email, Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Monday through Friday, 10 working hours daily.
  • Saturday work when necessary.

Position Type/Expectations of Working Hours:
  • Hourly position
  • Monday through Friday, minimum 8 working hours daily
  • Occasional Saturday when necessary
