Experienced Machine Operator (2nd Shift, Full-Time)
$23.00-$33.00/hour + $1.50/hour Shift Premium
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 2:00pm-12:00am
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Team Lead, the experienced Machine Operator is responsible for set up, adjustment and operation of the hone machine to meet dimension and finish requirements on internal surfaces of cylinders, tubes, sleeves, etc.
What You'll Do
  • Set up and run equipment per the proper work instruction.
  • Read and interpret shop routing and prints for final diameter and surface finish requirements.
  • Set up and run equipment per the proper work instruction.
  • Fill out SPC charting as required.
  • Conduct inspection of parts during run per the work instruction.
  • Locate and obtain the parts for the job to the work station.
  • Conduct computer functions on a day to day basis.
  • Conduct daily/weekly maintenance inspection of equipment and record.
  • Responsible for checking and maintaining hone "stones".
  • Wipe out (clean) and de-burr all pieces run.

What You Bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Either:
  • Two year Associates Degree in Machine Tool techniques
  • OR 2+ years of on the job machine operating experience
  • Knowledge in the use of inspection equipment require
  • Able to understand blue prints and gage reading
