Job Description

RRD's De Pere facility is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Print Production Assistant to join our direct marketing team.  This is a 12 hour, day shift position with a rotating schedule that supports a work-personal life balance.  In this role, you will be responsible for the final stages of our print production process-ensuring that high-volume direct mail and marketing materials are accurately checked, packaged, and prepared for distribution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, possesses a sharp eye for quality control, and understands the importance of meeting strict deadlines.

No experience required - we provide extensive training for motivated, reliable candidates.

  • Quality Assurance: Inspect final printed products for quality defects (such as smudges, misalignment, or color inconsistency) and proactively correct errors as they occur.

  • Packaging & Sorting: Efficiently pack, band, and/or sort finished products into batches, mail packets, and onto pallets according to client specifications and postal regulations.

  • Shipping & Verification: Count trays and bundles on each pallet, comparing physical counts with shipping documents to ensure absolute accuracy in total count and weight.

  • Documentation & Communication: Document daily production progress, equipment issues, and resolutions in logbooks or digital systems to ensure seamless reporting and handoffs across departments and shifts.

  • Flexibility: Maintain a clean, safe workstation and perform other duties as assigned by management to support changing production needs.

  • Other duites as assigned.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience in a print shop, direct mail facility, or warehouse fulfillment environment is a strong plus, but not required. 
  • Ability to exercise basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to read a standard ruler.
  • Ability to visually identify and inspect detailed product for defects.
  • Ability to coordinate hand and foot movements to operate staple machine.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and bend for the duration of a standard shift.
  • Ability to lift and move up to [Insert Weight, e.g., 40-50 lbs] regularly.
  • Comfortable working around large-scale printing and binding machinery.

Disclosure Statement:

The pay range for this role at the noted location is $16.00 to $20.40 per hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift, and location. In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime, shift differential, call-in, and stand-by pay. RRD offers benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, disability insurance, 401(k) with match, life insurance and other voluntary supplemental insurance coverages, plus tuition assistance, maternity leave, adoption assistance, and employer/partner discounts.
