Job Purpose

The Print Systems Analyst I supports the Jackson print-on-demand (POD) environment. They will directly interface with print customers to handle incoming print requests and follow up on customers' concerns. Responsibilities will also include providing basic design assistance, preparing print-ready files, and handling Print Services requisition and invoice processing administrative tasks.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Supports print-on-demand (POD) environment.

  • Provides high-quality customer service to our customers.

  • Performs quality assurance on incoming print requests.

  • Ensures that prepared files meet customers' needs/specifications.

  • Generates print quotes and invoices for chargeback tracking.

  • Processes monthly chargeback invoices.

  • Tracks usage and availability of printing supplies.

  • Initiates and tracks purchase orders for billing and invoice needs.

  • Willingness to work irregular hours and overtime on short notice.

  • Provides after-hours on-call support for the print-on-demand environment.

  • Participates in annual budgeting process.

  • Composes and maintains procedural documentation for new and updated POD processes.

Other Duties

  • Works with team to solve Print on Demand issues.

  • Performs other duties and/or projects as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of digital printer capabilities.

  • Knowledge of various POD print/finishing equipment and their capabilities.

  • Knowledge of the different types of printing substrates.

  • Knowledge of preflight, file preparation, color management, and color spaces.

  • Knowledge in PC applications and MS Office products.

  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks to meet scheduled deadlines.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

  • Must have basic math skills to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Must be able to comprehend measurements on a ruler and work with fractions.

  • Must be able to always maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information, handling, storing, and disposing of confidential information appropriately.

  • Possess a high degree of self-motivation, accuracy, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

  • Ability to distinguish between different color hues and patterns.

  • Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite products.

  • Knowledge of print-on-demand output management applications

  • Ability to work where there is considerable noise and the environmental conditions are cool.

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent required.

  • 1+ years of printing experience required.

  • Graphic designed experience preferred.
