Job description

Farnsworth Group is seeking an OSP Project Manager in one of the posting locations below. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.
Posting Locations for this role: Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; Charlotte, NC; or St. Louis, MO
What You'll Do:
  • Manage client relationships and projects
  • Support development of proposals - including project scope, schedule and budget
  • Complete design and posting of telecommunications projects
  • Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications
  • Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets
  • Oversee work completed by technical and professional production staff
  • Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, Microstation, Bluebeam, etc.
  • Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel

What You'll Need:
  • Minimum of 4 years of OSP design experience
  • Experience in all aspects of Legal Mandate, IFP, Fiber Overbuild, FTTH, or LightGIG projects - including field data gathering, design and permitting
  • Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently whether in the office or field/remotely

Nice To Haves:
  • Supervisory experience in OSP engineering design or construction
  • Experience in surveying or utility locating
  • Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation
  • Bachelor's or Associate degree a plus
  • Degree in Engineering or related field a plus
