Purpose and Scope:
The Concept Intern is responsible for supporting Concept Design and Team in the building of concepts, gathering of inspirational prototypes, and is a key component in the execution of showroom setup.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting in seasonal concept design
• Researching trends, pattern, print, color, silhouettes at concept stage
• Seek all inspirational tear sheets to drive concepts as well as silhouette designs.
• Must be able to complete a Runway Trend Report
• Assist in preparation for design meetings
• Assist in Pulling Color palette
Qualifications
• Currently enrolled in a Design program at a University level
• Minimum of 1 year professional experience
• Strong communication skills
• Knowledge in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook.
• CAD experience - Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign a must
• A mature individual with strong administrative experience who is able to appreciate and understand the creative process.
• Must possess strong creative abilities, and a superior, finely tuned fashion sense, which must be balanced with equally impressive analytical, organizational and problem solving capabilities
• Must be able to work with Deadlines
• Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
• Must be a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication
