We are currently seeking a Laboratory Assistant in our Lab Department at our Bakers facility in Monroe, NC. As a Laboratory Assistant you will assist laboratory management and technicians with paperwork related activities as well as organizing, filing, and support with test samples.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Follow prescribed safety regulations.
  • Assist laboratory management and technicians with paperwork related activities as well as organizing, filing and support with metal test samples.
  • Make copies of paperwork, LWS, Test Results as needed.
  • Scan paperwork as needed.
  • Determine retention box ID from Batch in LIMS
  • Retrieve retention boxes, look for samples and file when returned.
  • File retention boxes in POD.
  • Organize micros on paperwork.
  • Make sample boxes.
  • Distribute orders for evaluation.
  • Set up micros for Beta Transus heat treat.
  • Print laboratory work sheets, specifications, forms as needed.
  • Match mechanical samples to lab paperwork.
  • File mechanical lab prelog packages.
  • Packing material for OSC
  • Cert paperwork to Heat File
  • Tracking OSC testing
  • Entering OSC data
  • Data Collection for DMB
  • Review prelog packets in macro and/or saw area to remove batches scrapped or diverted.
  • Lab Saw problem table - work with management to resolve issues.
  • BSO - ECI and Macro Paperwork

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with lab planning (LIMS) and ERP systems

Skills:

  • Ability to work from instructions. Organize items in alphabetical, numerical, and LIMS sample numbers
  • Microsoft Office knowledge
