Peak Workforce Solutions is hiring GREAT people for IMMEDIATE Engineer position for our client located in Rockhill, SC

Compensation:

This is a contract position up to 12 months. (OT is available!)

Job Description: 

Essential duties and responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Assist Product Team by supporting members in the planning, communication and execution of production requirements on the assigned shift.
  •  Assist Product Team by supporting members in the measurements analysis, APQP planning, PPAP validation, communication and execution of lab requirements on the assigned shift.
  •  Operate lab equipment and/or perform measurement analysis, APQP planning, PPAP validation, communication and execution of lab requirements on the assigned shift.
  •  Operate lab equipment and/or perform measurement functions as necessary to support production, quality, engineering, maintenance and materials.
  •  Perform necessary administrative tasks such as assigned by KRONOS, Metrics, Updates, Payouts, etc.
  • Assume responsibility for 5s and work place results. Ie: Update communications boards.
  •  Utilize advanced quality techniques including: Advanced Quality Planning; Process FMEA; Control plan, PPAP, SQAM, Manufacturing Process Improvement/ Continuous Improvement; 8D Statistical Problem Solving Techniques; D.O.E., Blue Print Reading, GD&T certification.
  •  Be the CMM “expert” in the lab responsible for bother operation and programming of the CMM to complete dimensional layouts to meet internal and external company demands.
  • Coordinate Customer Design Control/ QA Functions.
  • Work with Engineering to resolve customer complaints; issues and communication of the results.
  •  Assist in 8-D corrective action response follow-up as required, for problem resolution.
  • Provide liaison product support, and interface with customers, suppliers, engineering, purchasing and manufacturing on quality related issues.
  •  Maintain TS16949 Quality System. Become a TS 16949 auditor.

  • High School Diploma or GED certificate is required.
  •  All new hires are required to take ACT’s WorkKeys assessment for the profiled Quality Technician classification.
  •  Must be able to create and read charts by using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  •  Must be able to create and read reports by using Microsoft Word documents.
  • Must be able to read and understand basic blueprints.
