Job description

Job Responsibilities York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State. The Lab Assistant - Industrial Maintenance Technology performs the following functions: Assist full-time instructors in the labs containing high enrollment.

Prepares, repairs, and maintains the lab equipment used in the Lab. Installs, activates, re-activates, maintains, and upgrades all software applications needed to operate all automated equipment in the labs. Monitors consumables and reports to the Department Chair when replenishment is needed.

Minimum and Additional Requirements Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of computers, computer file management, and software installation. Knowledge of technical equipment used in manufacturing such as: Programmable Logic Controllers, Electronic Variable Speed Drives, Piping Systems, Blueprint Reading, Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Automated Manufacturing Equipment and Robotics, Mechanical Power Transmission, Vibration Analysis, etc.
