Description

Job Summary:  Partners with leaders across Mainstay Maritime and its operating companies to develop and execute talent acquisition strategies that support workforce planning and business objectives. This role serves as a trusted advisor to hiring managers by identifying talent needs, developing sourcing strategies, managing full-cycle recruitment efforts, and delivering an exceptional candidate experience. The Talent Acquisition Partner actively supports vessel, operational, skilled trades, and corporate hiring while helping strengthen Mainstay Maritime's employer brand and talent pipeline.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Talent Acquisition: Partner with operations to understand workforce needs, succession considerations, labor market challenges, and hiring priorities. Develop recruiting strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Full-Cycle Recruitment: Manage the end-to-end recruiting process including sourcing, screening, interviewing, candidate assessment, offer development, and onboarding handoff.
  • Talent Pipeline Development: Build and maintain active talent pipelines for vessel, operations, maintenance, skilled trades, and corporate positions through networking, referrals, community partnerships, and industry outreach.
  • Employer Branding & Recruitment Marketing: Represent Mainstay Maritime at career fairs, industry events, maritime academies, and community recruiting initiatives. Support employer branding efforts and candidate engagement strategies.
  • Recruitment Analytics & Process Improvement: Maintain ATS data integrity, track recruiting metrics, identify trends, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance with recruiting policies and employment regulations.


Requirements

Preferred Education / Experience: 

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of talent acquisition, recruiting, staffing, or human resources experience.
  • Experience supporting multiple business functions and hiring managers simultaneously.
  • Experience recruiting skilled trades, transportation, manufacturing, maritime, industrial, logistics, or operations personnel preferred.
  • Experience utilizing applicant tracking systems, sourcing tools, LinkedIn Recruiter, and recruiting analytics.

Preferred Knowledge / Ability:

  • Strong relationship building and consultative partnership skills.
  • Ability to influence hiring decisions through data, market insights, and recruiting expertise.
  • Strong sourcing and networking skills with the ability to identify passive candidates.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and recruitment compliance requirements.
  • Strong commitment to delivering a positive and professional candidate experience.
