Mid-Level Programmer Analyst

The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid- Level Programmer Analyst to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; Saint Charles, MO; or Berkeley, MO.

This individual will support Boeing's Defense Space & Security (BDS) Manufacturing & Quality Systems - Precisions Engagement Systems (PES) team.

This position will work in an Agile Environment as part of a dynamic team developing high-rate manufacturing solutions to improve efficiencies on the factory floor. This team's programmers work as a collaborative team and utilize Agile concepts and principals.

We are looking for someone who is challenge driven and enjoys a fast-paced, exciting environment!

  • This is a Hybrid role with the expectation of going into the facility three times a week (subject to change).
  • Must be able to get a DOD US Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
  • Must live in the St. Louis, MO area or be willing to relocate at your own expense.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops, and executes test plans to ensure the reliability and performance of multiple manufacturing and quality Information Technology (IT) systems

  • Designs, develops, and maintains software applications that enhance manufacturing operations, ensure quality assurance, and support compliance with IT industry standards

  • Collaborates with end users to gather, analyze, and refine system requirements, ensuring alignment with manufacturing and quality standards

  • Enhances, modifies, and upgrades applications to improve system functionality, optimize performance, and support evolving business needs

  • Investigates, documents, and resolves system issues, providing technical support and contributing to the development of training materials for end users

  • Provides rotating on-call support to ensure the availability, stability, and performance of manufacturing applications, addressing critical issues in a timely manner

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of professional IT experience in an application development role, performing core activities across the software lifecycle- from requirements gathering and design to coding, testing, integrations, deployments, and production support

  • 3+ years of experience with backend development (Java, Spring, Oracle SQL, SQL Server)

  • 3+ years of experience with Java Web Full Stack Development

  • Experience writing software that interfacing software and databases using object-relational mapping design patterns (e.g. Hibernate)

  • Experience with Oracle tools

  • Experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)

  • Experience with Agile and or SAFe Principles & Methodologies

  • Must be eligible for a DOD Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience with manufacturing and shop floor domain and terminologies

  • Experience with DataTables, DataTables Editor, JavaScript, and Spring Data

  • Familiarity with SQL Server database

  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications

  • Experience collaborating with managers and subject matter experts across functions

  • Experience with strong verbal and written communication skills
