Job description

KAI Hawaii, Inc. is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Honolulu.
What You'll Do:

  • Perform structural analysis and design for infrastructure and building projects.
  • Prepare construction documents, calculations, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Conduct field investigations, inspections, and condition assessments.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, architects, and multidisciplinary design teams.
  • Support project management activities and client communication.
  • Contribute to innovative solutions for Hawaii's unique environmental and construction challenges.
Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of structural engineering experience in the United States.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
  • Experience with structural analysis and design software.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with bridges, waterfront structures, transportation, or public infrastructure projects is highly desirable.
