  • The Linenkeeper bears responsibility for the management of inventory pertaining to linen, uniform, and related items. This encompasses the electronic recording and control of said inventory, in accordance with the established policies and procedures governing inventory control. 
  • They collaborate closely with the Hotel Inventory Manager and Hotel Storekeeper to ensure the maintenance of adequate levels of linens and uniforms, perform quality control, conduct physical stock counts, monitor consumption trends, and report discrepancies or unusual patterns. 
  • Furthermore, they engage in the loading and receiving of hotel stores, guaranteeing adherence to inventory and product control policies. They also collaborate with the Hotel Inventory Manager and Hotel Storekeeper with the objective of reducing slow-moving inventory. 
  • Additionally, they provide service to internal departments, ensuring that uniform and linen requirements are efficiently operational PAR.
  • The role of Linenkeeper also involves coordinating with the Laundry Master to ensure the efficient use of uniforms and linens, adhering to policies, USPHS and Fleet Regulations, and other internal and external regulations. Furthermore, the individual responds to audit queries and participates in monthly Hotel Stores meetings, ensuring operational compliance in the cruise industry.

  • The ideal candidate will possess a fundamental understanding of linens and uniform sizing and specifications. 
  • A minimum of two year's prior cruise ship experience in a hotel/uniform stores is required as well as  a sounded knowledge of linen and laundry operations within the context of cruise lines.
  • Additionally, the ability to utilize Microsoft Office software, particularly Word and Excel, is essential as well as Inventory computer programs.
    Furthermore, the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to complete tasks in accordance with deadlines while displaying and delivering genuine care to passengers and staff, and to surprising and delighting guests throughout their cruise experience.
  • A command of the English language, both verbal and written, is also required. 
  • It is likewise essential to possess the capacity to work in a flexible manner within a dynamic environment
This position involves regular physical activity, including standing for extended periods and lifting or moving heavy items in line with operational requirements.
