Essential Functions/Typical Tasks
Prince George County is currently seeking applicants to assist with cleaning and maintaining the Prince George Animal Services Center, providing daily care of animals, medicating animals, walking animals, lifting and transferring animals, maintaining records and files, and greeting the public. Must be available to work up to 20 hours per week and be available to work mostly weekends.
Qualification Requirements
Must have knowledge of the safe and humane methods of feeding and transferring animals; ability to check and handle animals without personal injury; physical condition that permits heavy lifting. Any combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school and one year of experience in work involving the care of animals.
Special Requirements
Possession of an appropriate driver's license valid in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Must be at least 18 years of age. Drug testing and criminal background check, to include fingerprinting, required.
