Job description

Job Overview:
Job Summary
Primoris Services Corporation is seeking an experienced Journeyman Lineman to join our team in Clearwater, FL. This role involves the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead and underground electrical power lines, ensuring the safe and reliable delivery of electricity to customers.
Job Responsibilities:
* Construct, maintain, and repair overhead and underground electrical power distribution and transmission lines and associated equipment.
* Perform all duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures, OSHA regulations, and industry standards.
* Operate and maintain a variety of heavy equipment, including bucket trucks, digger derricks, trenchers, and other specialized tools.
* Troubleshoot and identify electrical problems, performing necessary repairs and replacements.
* Install and remove poles, cross arms, insulators, transformers, and other line equipment.
* Connect and disconnect services, install and remove meters, and perform other related tasks.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders.
* Work effectively as part of a team, supervising and training apprentices and other crew members as needed.
* Respond to emergency call-outs and work extended hours as required, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
* Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and equipment inspections.
Job Qualifications:
* Completion of an accredited Journeyman Lineman apprenticeship program.
* Valid Journeyman Lineman certification.
* Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Journeyman Lineman.
* Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
* Proficient in all aspects of overhead and underground electrical line construction, maintenance, and repair.
* Strong understanding of electrical theory, safety regulations, and industry best practices.
* Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds) and perform physically demanding tasks.
* Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* Willingness to travel and work overtime as needed.
