Job description

Educators MUST reside in AZ.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide communication to students and parents on a weekly basis through a variety of tools: phone, messaging, text messaging, and emails
  • Grade student work within 24-48 hours of being submitted
  • Evaluate student work by providing written comments on all submitted assignments
  • Post a daily announcement in each course that motivates the students to participate in the daily lessons
  • Manage the discussion board in each class to encourage participation and learning in the online classroom
  • Meet weekly expectations as outlined in teacher training and the Teacher Expectations and Guidelines
  • Participate in professional development and department meetings, as scheduled
  • Assist with administering standardized assessments
  • Establish rapport with students/parents and encourage students to maintain attendance and academic expectations
  • Direct students to necessary resources including: teachers, tutors, admission’s staff, guidance support, etc.
  • Monitor and oversee student access to the Parent Student Portal and any other appropriate websites
  • Properly document issues, concerns, and important information concerning students/parents as they present themselves
  • Additional duties as needed
