Primavera P6 Business Analyst

Location: Houston, TX
Rate: Hourly - onsite hybrid role for 3-4 days per week
Duration: 6 months and contract to hire

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Primavera EPPM/P6 Business Analyst with at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably in Oil and Gas industry, to join our team. Knowledge of construction or engineering projects required. The successful candidate will work closely with our project managers and stakeholders to provide support for project planning, scheduling, and execution utilizing the Primavera P6 tool. The Primavera P6 Business Analyst will also be responsible for providing technical expertise in the implementation, customization, and support of the Primavera P6 systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert-level support in Primavera P6 to project managers and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop project schedules, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Design, configure and implement P6 Primavera solutions to meet business requirements
  • Provide guidance on best practices for project planning and execution utilizing P6 Primavera.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to Primavera P6.
  • Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective use of Primavera P6.
  • Work with IT teams to ensure the proper integration of Primavera P6 with other business systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues and work with vendors to resolve system defects
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, computer science, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience as a Primavera P6 Business Analyst.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. MBA or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on P6 Primavera, preferably within the Oil and Gas industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles, including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems integration, project billing, costing, and revenue recognition concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements.
