Job Description

This role supports field operations on an active oil and gas yard, working 12-hour shifts on a rotating schedule that includes both days and nights. You will contribute to frac operations, equipment setup and takedown, and general labor tasks on outdoor pads. The position requires a minimum of six months of experience in oil and gas and involves extensive hours each week in a physically demanding environment.

Responsibilities

  • Work on frac operations and remain stationed at pump stations to support ongoing field activities.
  • Monitor tanks continuously to ensure safe and efficient operations, and perform set up and take down of equipment as required.
  • Load and unload materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them to appropriate locations according to project plans and specifications.
  • Store and stack materials safely and efficiently to maintain an organized and hazard-free work area.
  • Tend to pumps and generators, ensuring they operate safely and reliably throughout the shift.
  • Clean and prepare construction and work sites to eliminate possible hazards and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Operate hand and power tools in accordance with safety guidelines and project requirements.
  • Assist with water transfer, rig up and rig down activities, and other construction-related labor tasks as directed.
  • Perform general yard work and equipment handling duties as needed to support overall field operations.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months of experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Experience working on frac operations, water transfer, rig up and rig down, or related oilfield activities.
  • Knowledge of construction machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and basic maintenance.
  • Ability to load, unload, move, and stack materials safely and efficiently.
  • Capability to operate hand and power tools in a field or construction environment.
  • Physical ability to meet job demands, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting materials up to 100 lbs, carrying, pushing, pulling, and performing repetitive wrist and hand movements.
  • Ability to maintain rapid mental coordination and remain mentally alert for the entire 12-hour shift.
  • Willingness and ability to work 75 or more hours per week and to take on additional hours when needed.
  • Reliable transportation within approximately a one-hour travel radius, with the ability to drive to pads or meet at designated park-and-ride locations.

Why Work Here?

This opportunity offers consistent, high-volume hours for those who want to maximize their earnings and gain extensive hands-on experience in the oil and gas field. You will work within a team-oriented environment where safety, reliability, and hard work are valued, and where carpooling and park-and-ride options help support a manageable commute. The role provides a clear path to build and strengthen your skills in frac operations, equipment handling, and construction-related labor, creating a strong foundation for long-term growth in the energy sector.

Work Environment

The work takes place primarily on outdoor frac pads and on an active yard, with exposure to changing weather conditions throughout the year, including cold winter temperatures. Shifts are 12 hours long, with a rotation of two day shifts from 5:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and two night shifts from 5:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., and schedules are issued weekly. The position regularly requires 75 or more hours per week, including weekends, and may involve additional hours as operational needs arise. You will work around pumps, generators, tanks, construction machinery, hand tools, and power tools, and you must be prepared for significant physical activity, including lifting up to 100 lbs and continuous standing and walking.
