Job description

Our client is seeking an I&E Technician for their Midland/Odessa facility.

This is a field role, must be able to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions.

2+ years of experience (I&E, Electrical, PLC).

Full-time, permanent position.

$25+ an hour plus (DOE), overtime, and full benefits. The company covers 100% of employees health benefits. Pay is dependent on experience.

Local travel so you will need a valid driver's license and good driving record. Will drive a company truck. All new hires will complete a drug screen prior to their start date.

  • Essential functions:
  • Enforce all company safety policies and contribute to a โ€˜Safety Firstโ€™ working culture.
  • Provide supervisory duties for contract crews and technicians, if required.
  • Read schematics and must often refer to manufacturer specifications to disassemble and reassemble complex equipment and machinery. You should have experience doing this in the past.
  • Install and service automation equipment that meets or exceeds company standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance on automation equipment, service and program communication devices.
  • Work collaboratively with all departments to assist and train all users for new automation equipment on locations as needed.
  • Effectively communicate with other department personnel and engineers for updates on future and current automation projects
  • Utilize software to troubleshoot systems, read and download PLC and HMI files.
  • Maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of field instrumentation devices for process equipment including:

o Flow devices

o Pressure devices

o Temperature devices

o Direct and inferential level measurement devices

o Analytical equipment and instrumentation

o PLC and HMI equipment

  • Actively participate in additional training.ย 
  • Complete all paperwork accurately and efficiently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:

  • At least 2 years of experience; Strong knowledge of electronic instrumentation and automation equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of oil field safety and organizational processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and computer skills
  • Instrumentation Experience: Pressure, Flow, Temperature, Level and Actuated valves
  • Moderate electrical skills: 120-480VAC, 12-24VDC
  • Certifications are a plus but not required.
