About Your Role


CMTS is seeking a highly motivated Project Scheduler to support large-scale capital construction programs in Los Angeles, CA. This role is responsible for developing, reviewing, and analyzing construction schedules using Primavera P6 while ensuring alignment with project scope, contract requirements, and program-level controls. The Project Scheduler will work closely with project teams to monitor progress, evaluate schedule performance, and provide critical insights through schedule analysis, earned value metrics, and reporting.

Education Requirements


Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field

OR

Bachelor's degree in any field with an additional two (2) years of construction scheduling experience

What You'll Need to Get the Job Done


  • Minimum six (6) years of full-time professional experience in construction scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor
    Experience supporting public works or educational facility projects preferred
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6 (latest version)
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and planning abilities
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with project teams
  • Understanding of cost engineering principles, scheduling methodologies, and schedule forensics

What You'll Do


  • Interpret construction drawings and define project scope for scheduling purposes
  • Review contractor baseline schedules in Primavera P6 for completeness, logic, and critical path accuracy
  • Analyze schedule updates and identify milestone and critical path delays
  • Perform QA/QC reviews of contractor schedule submittals
  • Develop Earned Value curves and perform EVA analysis
    Monitor construction progress and identify schedule risks and mitigation strategies
  • Generate KPI reports, variance reports, and recovery recommendations
  • Conduct Time Impact Analysis (TIA) using windows analysis methodologies
  • Evaluate contract scope and assess entitlement for time extensions
  • Provide schedule updates to program/master schedules
  • Maintain data integrity through standardized coding, layouts and reporting
  • Attend project meetings and conduct site visits as needed
    Prepare detailed reports for senior management
