Work Environment

As a remote position, this role allows for flexibility while still providing the high levels of care our clients deserve. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments tailored to the unique life experiences and needs of elderly residents, identifying specific therapeutic and care requirements.
  • Deliver individualized and group counseling sessions that address common emotional challenges faced by seniors, including those related to loss, anxiety about aging, and significant life changes.
  • Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement comprehensive, personalized care plans that enhance the overall well-being of geriatric clients.
  • Educate both family members and staff on best practices for supporting emotional well-being, facilitating a more supportive environment for elderly individuals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution is required.
  • Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
  • A minimum of 4 years of recent experience in counseling elderly clients, ideally in geriatric mental health settings.
  • Advanced training or specialization in geriatric mental health and its associated challenges is strongly preferred.
