For each other, our communities and the world around us.****Profile****The Head of Tax will step into a highly operational role, acting as a strategic leader within a division that operates like a fast-paced start-up. You will face the challenge of building an operational tax infrastructure from the ground up to support a "race car" environment driven by new initiatives. The B2B division is experiencing massive growth, giving this role significant autonomy to build something unique. This position will be based in the US, specifically out of the Tri-State area.****Key Relationships:****Reporting directly to SVP Tax of Booking Holdings, with a dotted line into the B2B CFO. You will form a strong partnership with the B2B CFO and CEO, and you will oversee a US-based team consisting of 2 managers responsible for advisory. You will also coordinate closely with a matrixed India CoE compliance team and a global tax technology and transfer pricing teams.****Key Responsibilities***** Operate with a highly operational mindset to support a fast-moving CEO & CFO and execute on many new business initiatives.* Design and implement a robust, operational tax infrastructure.* Take ownership of indirect tax strategy for the B2B platform. Oversee various direct and indirect tax advisory projects and initiatives.* Align and collaborate with matrixed resources, including global transfer pricing, tax technology and CoE compliance teams based in the US, Europe, India and Thailand.* Act as a heavy-hitting strategic partner who talks with the CFO on a daily basis and carries weight with VP-level executives.* Deliver results directly for leadership, including CEO and CFO, with the mandate to build your own tax strategies.****IDEAL EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:***** Extensive experience with indirect tax, particularly within platform, or e-commerce environments* Proven track record of working in an international environment and in a matrix organisation* Strong understanding of transfer pricing.* Familiarity with the US market and its specific tax requirements* Proven senior stakeholder experience, with the ability to confidently present to and influence C-Suite or C-Suite -1* Proven track record of driving and pushing impactful initiatives forward with a strong sense of urgency.* Experience scaling functions,* Demonstrated ability to make swift decisions****OTHER PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS***** Highly operational mindset capable of matching the speed of this fast pace environment.* Innovative and autonomous.* Ability to handle high-pressure interactions and pushback.* Strong sense of urgency**Our Commitment to Inclusion**Through the Booking Holdings brands, we help our customers reach all corners of the earth.
