Summary:
The Offset Head Pressperson is responsible for operating and maintaining the Offset Press. This position will also be responsible for press print production and training others in the pre-press operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
  • Assist the 1stPressperson in the operation of the Offset Press. Including but not limited to performing all safety and quality checks.
  • Responsible for the operation of the press feed section.
  • Responsible for prepping press for next production run; sheets, plates, ink, etc.
  • Must assist the 1stPressperson in meeting safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Must be able to take over the 1stPressperson's duties during absences.
  • Assist in training other press personnel.
  • Responsible for the overall Safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Overtime is required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED minimum.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. May require the ability to write routine reports and correspondence. May require the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
  • Minimum of 5 years Offset experience as a first or second pressperson or the equivalent is required.
  • The ability to react quickly and make continuous adjustments to provide top quality products.
  • Normal vision is required; must be able to pass a colorblind test.
