The Litho Press Operator is responsible for performing machine operator tasks in the set-up, maintenance, and operation of a litho printing press.
 
SHIFT:  6pm - 6am, rotating
Responsibilities
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Lead a press crew effectivelyInteract with the press schedule and ticket accordinglyInteract with pressroom clients in a professional mannerProduce quality print in the most efficient mannerProducing product in a timely manner meeting the scheduled press timesFollow pressroom procedures for control sheets, charging time & material, load tags, FSC stock, and samplesPerform needed maintenance and cleaning on the presses Ensure Press, front console work area, and pressroom are maintained in a clean and professional mannerUnderstanding of densitometers and spectrophotometersPerform additional duties assigned
Qualifications
Mandatory Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent  2+ years’ work experience on the same or functionally similar press.
Preferred Qualifications:
Understands densitometers and spectrophotometers.  Basic G7 practices.  Understands and complies with Lean Manufacturing.   Requires good knowledge of how to mix and produce correct color in printing. Strong knowledge of applicability of various jobs to press.   Ability to read and understand oral/written instructions and set up press to carry out instructions. Math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. Thorough knowledge of problem-solving on press.   Thorough knowledge of press operations and functions. Strong understanding of prepress functions. Reliability through attendance, punctuality and attention to workstation. Demonstrate positive safety attitude.
