Position: Offset Sheetfed Pressman

Location: Garner, NC

Pay: $72,800 a year

Experience
  1. At least 2 years as a Pressman or 5 to 7 years as a Second Pressman.
  2. Experience with press setup, operation, troubleshooting, and quality control.

Education: High School Diploma.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm

Greene Resources is seeking an Offset Sheetfed Pressman to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description
  1. Set up and operate offset sheetfed printing presses.
  2. Review job orders for print quantities, paper/stock specifications, colors, and special printing instructions.
  3. Inspect printing plates for defects and repair minor issues when possible.
  4. Set and adjust press components based on paper thickness and job specifications.
  5. Print on lightweight paper, including 24# and 27# stock.
  6. Adjust ink and dampening solution levels to maintain proper print quality.
  7. Monitor printed materials throughout production for:
  8. Make press adjustments throughout production runs to maintain specifications.
  9. Adjust feeder and delivery mechanisms as needed.
  10. Replace worn rollers and adjust roller pressure using hand tools.
  11. Troubleshoot press and print-quality issues.
  12. Perform routine press maintenance and cleaning.
  13. Lead, direct, monitor, and train the press crew.
  14. Follow all company safety procedures.
Position Requirements
  1. Strong knowledge of offset press mechanics and capabilities.
  2. Ability to accurately identify color variations.
  3. Strong mechanical aptitude.
  4. Ability to read and follow written job instructions and press specifications.
  5. Comfortable using hand tools and making mechanical adjustments.
  6. Ability to work in a production environment with noise, dust, odors, and oils.
