Job description

Summary
Compumeric engineering is seeking a CNC Press Brake Set-Up Operator. Ideal candidate will be skilled in performing set-ups, reading blueprints, using a tape measurer and calipers, and can perform set-ups on multiple machines including CNC Bystronic press brake. We're looking for a long-term candidate who is capable to lead the press brake area, assigning setup and controlling production floor job orders.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Promotes the Company's mission and values-based culture by performing duties safely with quality, efficiency, and teamwork as a foundation.
  2. Proven and efficient capability setting up complex press brake equipment with heads up instrument panels along with CNC editing, troubleshooting, and preferably programming controls.
  3. Must have good math skills related to equipment set-up, readings and analysis.
  4. Read and interpret blueprints.
  5. Demonstrated ability with precision measurement equipment.
  6. Maintains area hygiene above industry standards.
  7. Develop and maintain solid employee morale and safety awareness.
  8. Adheres to safety and environmental rules.
  9. Performs general housekeeping.
  10. Ability to lead others in performing operations, set-up, training, and scheduling assigned work.
  11. Ability to communicate with others in English and Spanish is highly preferred.
  12. Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned as appropriate and necessary.
