Job description

~~Job Title: Industrial Plant Maintenance/Electrician

Responsibilities:
• Accurately troubleshoot, diagnose, and conduct hands-on repairs to machines and plant equipment electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems including plumbing, welding, HVAC, forklifts, and cranes.
• Conduct Total Predictive/Preventive Maintenance on plant machinery and equipment.
• Install, program, and repair electrical systems and electrical components on industrial machinery and equipment following electrical code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints, and other specifications, using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.
• Diagnose, repair, or replace and program faulty electronic components such as printed circuit boards, motors of various voltages, PLC’s, high voltage distribution equipment, transformers, and various other controls.
• Test lines and other distribution equipment using ohmmeters, voltmeters, oscilloscopes, and thermocouple indicators to measure voltage between points in circuitry systems.
• Install electrical wiring and electrical assembly components in control cabinets, electrical and industrial equipment and related industrial machines according to blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Perform a variety of electronic, mechanical and electromechanical tests on electronic systems, subassemblies and parts to ensure machine or component functions as specified and analyze test results and interpret electrical diagrams to identify faulty equipment or components using electronic test instruments.
• Request necessary parts, tools, and equipment in a timely and cost effective manner.
• Follow all Federal and State Regulations and Company safety policies and practices to promote safety.

Requirements:
• Possess a State Certified Journeyman’s Electrician License
• Must possess ability to plan and implement most cost effective solutions.
• Must be flexible to do shift work and overtime as required to keep plant machines operating to meet customer demand.
• Willing to be on-call available to reasonably respond to unforeseen machine breakdowns.
• Minimum of 5 years experience as an industrial plant maintenance/electrician.
• Excellent mechanical, electrical, welding, computer, and plumbing skills.
* Prefer experience in troubleshooting and making repairs to Pacer 250KW and 350KW, Pillar 600KW, Inductron 200KW and 400KW induction type heater cabinets with SCR's diodes, transformers, etc.

* Prefer experience with hot forging press and upsetters.

• Able to read and interpret schematics and blue prints.
• Must have experience in computerized machine repairs.
• Must have good math and computer skills.
• Must have good communication skills.
• Must have good time management.
