Job Summary: The Press Feeder is responsible for assisting the Press Operator in printing high quality store valued/pre-paid card products. The Helper is responsible for feeding the presses, flipping loads, and monitoring the quality of the output.  This position works a rotating 12 hour shift (5:00am-5:00pm)


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pull correct material from inventory or work in process area 
  • Verify the proper gauge, sheet size, and required number of sheets with the Lead Operator before production begins 
  • Prepare the press feeder and load stock into the press 
  • Monitor ink fountains and replenish ink with the correct colors as needed 
  • Monitor the fountain solution and all related fluids in the fountain solution system  
  • Assist with press setup, routine maintenance, and daily operation 
  • Support troubleshooting efforts for print ingrelated issues and help determine appropriate corrective actions. 
  • Increase production efficiency through continuous process improvement. 
  • Reduce production waste by applying continuous improvement methods 
  • Utilize all available press process control features and technologies 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment 
  • Adhere to all press related safety procedures and company safety guidelines. 

Requirements

  • High school diploma required; technical training related to printing or mechanical operations preferred but not required 
  • One to three years of experience in the print industry or in a production or manufacturing environment 
  • Strong basic math skills and the ability to follow precise written procedures and specifications.  
  • Must possess strong attention to detail, accuracy, and commitment to producing high quality work.  
  • Have working knowledge of quality control practices and inspection procedures.  
  • Possess sound judgment and effective decision making skills in a production setting.  
  • Ability to demonstrate clear, respectful, and proactive communication skills across  
  • Collaborative, team oriented approach with a willingness to support coworkers and contribute to a positive work environment.  
  • Mechanical aptitude with basic troubleshooting skills to address machine related issues efficiently.  
  • Ability to understand production requirements and how Press operations impact other departments.  
  • Dependable and self motivated, demonstrating initiative in daily tasks and problem solving.
