Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA

Base Pay: $32 - $38 per hour (based on experience)

Position Summary

As a Production Supervisor, you will play a key role in overseeing daily manufacturing operations within the Press department to ensure products are produced safely, efficiently, on time, and to quality standards. This role provides leadership to Press and Press support department employees, ensures adherence to company policies and procedures, and drives continuous improvement in safety, productivity, and quality. If you have strong leadership abilities, a high level of attention to detail and organization and are able to effectively collaborate and communicate cross-functionally then this is the next step in your career at Steven Label.

What you will do:

  1. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise, train, and coach press and press support employees to meet performance expectations.
    • Ensure that the team adheres to safety protocols and maintains a safe working environment.
    • Manage employee attributes, including time off requests, performance reviews, discipline, and training needs.
    • Foster a positive work culture and promote teamwork and collaboration among team members.
  2. Production Oversight:
    • Oversee the Press and Press support functions at the Santa Fe Springs, CA site.
    • Monitor production schedules and ensure that production goals are met on time and within quality standards.
    • Implement and maintain production processes, procedures, and best practices.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues as they arise.
    • Maintain Inventory of Supplies for Press and Press support functions.
    • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies, including ISO 13485.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure the highest product quality.
    • Conduct regular inspections of finished products to identify defects and non-conformities.
    • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  4. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of production data, quality metrics, and employee performance.
    • Generate reports for upper management regarding production status, quality, and team performance.
  5. Resource Management:
    • Manage resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to optimize production efficiency.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless workflow and timely delivery of products.
    • Provide back up supervision to other departments as needed
    • Additional duties as assigned

What you bring:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing or production; 1+ years of supervisory or lead experience preferred.
  • Flexo printing experience preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Knowledge of production processes and quality control.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ERP systems.
