Job description

SUMMARY:
Arandell Corporation is seeking a 2nd or 3rd shift detail-oriented and motivated Quality Control Analyst to join our Press Department. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our high-quality print production meets the stringent standards our clients expect. You will serve as the final line of defense, monitoring color consistency, registration, and overall print quality to minimize waste and ensure operational excellence.
This opportunity features a competitive wage range of $62,000 - $68,000.
WHAT YOU'LL DO ON THE A-TEAM:
  • Conduct regular, scheduled, and unscheduled inspections of live print runs to verify that color, registration, and fold accuracy meet established customer specifications and company quality standards.
  • Perform thorough evaluations of press signatures, identify defects or variances early in the production process, and immediately notify press operators to make necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain meticulous quality control logs and reports for every job, detailing any issues identified, the corrective actions taken, and the final status of the product.
  • Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols within the press department.
  • Work closely with Press Operators, Floor Supervisors, and Pre-press teams to communicate quality issues effectively and provide constructive feedback to improve future performance.
  • Identify root causes of recurring print defects to help minimize spoilage and improve overall department efficiency.
  • Assist in tracking quality metrics and trends, participating in process improvement initiatives (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma principles) to enhance production quality.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (GED).
  • Previous experience in a printing, manufacturing, or quality assurance environment is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional eye for color, detail, and pattern recognition; must be able to detect subtle variations in ink density and registration.
  • Ability to interpret complex job tickets, press proofs, and technical specifications.
  • Ability to analyze data and process flow to identify trends or potential production bottlenecks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively report findings to press crews and management.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced production environment, managing multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in basic computer software (Microsoft Office, internal tracking systems) to maintain accurate electronic records.
