This role operates a 20-foot, 500-ton press brake to machine a wide range of metal cones from carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. You set up and run the press brake using specific dies, following prints and job orders to press, bend, and form parts to precise angles and measurements in a heavy fabrication environment.

Responsibilities
  • Operate a 20-foot, 500-ton press brake to machine cones in various diameters from carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
  • Interpret and follow prints, job orders, and specifications to determine required tooling, setup, and sequence of operations.
  • Select, install, and change specific dies according to job requirements, ensuring proper alignment and secure mounting.
  • Press, bend, and form metal components to precise angles, dimensions, and tolerances as outlined in drawings and work instructions.
  • Work with a variety of material types and thicknesses, adjusting machine settings and techniques to achieve consistent quality.
  • Use multiple dies and press brake setups to fabricate complex parts and shapes as required by production needs.
  • Inspect finished parts for accuracy, quality, and conformance to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety procedures in a heavy fabrication environment.
