Job description

Red Bull New York ("RBNY") are one of 30 teams in Major League Soccer (MLS) and one of the league's ten original charter clubs. Founded in 1996, RBNY has competed in MLS since its inception. RBNY's First Team plays its home matches at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey and its Second Team plays its home matches at Montclair State University. RBNY are owned by the Austrian beverage company Red Bull GmbH, after which the team is named.
RBNY's First Team is a three-time MLS Supporters' Shield winner and a two-time Conference Champion, while the Second Team is the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Champion. RBNY also operates one of the nation's premier youth soccer development programs, spanning local partnerships across New York and New Jersey. RBNY's Academy is ranked among the top development organizations in the country.
POSITION SUMMARY
The U18 & U16 Coach/Analyst is responsible for delivering comprehensive team, player, and match analysis to support the coaching staff in all phases of preparation and performance evaluation, execution and reflection. This role manages video capture, training and match insights, match plan support, on-field coaching assistance, and matchday analytical operations. The U18 & U16 Coach/Analyst plays a key role in advancing analytical processes, adopting new technology, and ensuring alignment with the club's playing philosophy across RBNY. Collaboration with Red Bull Soccer's global network is also essential to maintain high standards and innovation.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide detailed video analysis, insights, and reporting at team and player levels to support coaching staff needs across all phases of match preparation.
  • Support the development of match plans and create high-quality video presentations for the coaching team.
  • Provide on-field support to the coaching staff during training sessions, including setup, equipment organization, real-time observations, and training-driven insights.
  • Film, capture, and tag all training sessions (operating a drone, setting up a Hudl Camera, using Sportscode to tag); build and maintain a best-practice library of clips for coach and player development.
  • Travel with the team and coordinate the full analytical matchday workflow, ensuring timely delivery of relevant information to the coaching staff.
  • Support the structuring and continuous improvement of departmental processes and contribute to staff development within the analysis group.
  • Assist in the development and standardization of a unified match analysis methodology across the Academy.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of data-supported analysis, improving workflows and integrating data tools into daily processes.
  • Evaluate team match performance through qualitative insights and quantitative KPIs aligned with the club's overall philosophy.
  • Lead and support innovation efforts, identifying and integrating new technologies, tools, and solutions that strengthen the analysis function.
  • Engage in regular communication and knowledge-sharing with Red Bull Soccer regarding developments, best practices, and emerging trends in the analysis and technology landscape.

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Elite Academy and/or professional football analysis or performance analysis.
  • USSF 'B' License or UEFA equivalent
  • Strong understanding of football tactics and the Red Bull playing philosophy (or ability to adapt quickly).
  • High-level proficiency with video analysis systems, tagging software, and data platforms.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with an ability to translate insights into actionable information.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours, travel consistently, and meet tight matchday deadlines.
  • Ability to attain and maintain SafeSport certification.
