Job description

POSITION PURPOSE STATEMENT

The mission of Elevate Life Preschool is to provide the atmosphere and the experience necessary for children to grow spiritually, mentally, emotionally, socially, and physically so they can become the leaders God destined them to be.   The vision of Elevate Life Preschool is to foster a lifelong love of learning in each of our students.  We create this environment by providing positive learning experiences through love, respect, quality education and professionalism.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Department

  • Assists the Director in the responsibility for the overall daily operation of the preschool program.
  • Answers and responds to incoming phone calls and emails, as well as responds to voicemails.
  • Prepares, organizes, maintains, and manages all aspects of student registration and enrollment including but not limited to, new family registration, priority enrollment of currently enrolled families, offers of enrollment and all follow up, scheduling and leading school tours, and acting as the first point of contact for the preschool.
  • Maintains and monitors enrollment numbers and waiting lists. 
  • Maintains current student files, hard and soft copies, as required according to Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers. Follows up with parents, as needed, to obtain required documentation.
  • Assists with child drop off and pick up process.
  • Assists with filling staffing gaps or needs.
  • Communicates changes in student enrollment with teaching staff.
  • Prepares and maintains emergency contact lists.
  • Prepares and maintains emergency binders, bags, and all First Aid Kits.
  • Prepares and maintains weekly student sign in/out sheets.
  • Manage new and existing student accounts in Procare.
  • Maintains medication logs and administers medication to students, as needed. 
  • Maintains visitor log, as needed.
  • Assists in Coordinating School Wide Events & Community Outreach.
  • Develop internal systems and procedures that advance instructional quality and enrollment. 
  • Assist in interviewing and hiring of preschool teachers and assistants.
  • Attends weekly staff gathering, weekly leadership meetings, and daily chapel. 
  • Runs monthly reporting, and other reports as needed. 

Curriculum and Instruction

  • Assists with monitoring any ill children in care until parents can pick up. 
  • Distribute Curriculum to teachers.
  • Assist in maintaining resources and resource room. 
  • Creates posts on social media accounts and sends out monthly updates and schoolwide newsletter. 


Financial

  • Process, monitor, and maintain all tuition, fees, and any Accounts Receivables.

  • Proficient in MSOffice Office Suite.
  • Must be proficient in understanding and following Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers. Maintains policies and procedures for the program’s operation in accordance with TXHHS.
  • ProCare Software experience, a plus. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Previous Early Childhood Education experience in a licensed preschool required.
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, Texas Childcare Director’s certificate.
  • Must be proficient in understanding and following Texas Minimum Standards for Child-Care Centers.
  • Must pass a pre-employment criminal history and fingerprint background check.
