Graphic Designer & Production Specialist
Position Summary
The Graphic Designer & Production Specialist is responsible for designing, preparing, producing, and finishing high-quality large-format graphics for a wide variety of customer applications, including vehicle wraps, signs, banners, wall graphics and trade show displays.
This role combines graphic design, customer communication, prepress file preparation, and hands-on production. The ideal candidate is creative, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable operating large-format printing and finishing equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Graphic Design & Customer Service
  • Create custom graphic designs for vehicle wraps, fleet graphics, signs, banners, wall murals, and other large-format applications.
  • Work directly with customers to understand project goals and provide creative solutions.
  • Prepare and present proofs for customer approval.
  • Make revisions and modifications based on customer feedback.
  • Ensure designs meet branding guidelines and production requirements.
  • Assist sales staff with artwork concepts and production recommendations.

Prepress & File Preparation
  • Inspect customer-supplied artwork for print readiness.
  • Prepare production-ready files for large-format printing and cutting.
  • Perform preflight checks to ensure color accuracy, sizing, resolution, and proper bleed requirements.
  • Organize and maintain digital job files and production records.
  • Troubleshoot artwork and file issues before production.

Production & Finishing
  • Operate and maintain large-format printers, plotters, laminators, and cutters.
  • Print, laminate, weed, trim, mount, and finish graphics to customer specifications.
  • Monitor print quality and make necessary adjustments.
  • Inspect completed products for quality, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Package and prepare completed jobs for installation, delivery, or shipping.

Equipment & Studio Operations (10%)
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and cleaning.
  • Monitor inventory levels of media, ink, laminates, and production supplies.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production environment.
  • Assist with receiving and organizing incoming materials and deliveries.

Qualifications
Required Skills
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong understanding of large-format printing and production workflows.
  • Experience creating vehicle wrap and fleet graphics.
  • Knowledge of prepress file preparation and print production standards.
  • Ability to operate or learn large-format printers, cutters, laminators, and finishing equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the sign, graphics, printing, or vehicle wrap industry.
  • Familiarity with RIP software and color management workflows.
  • Experience with vinyl application or graphic installation.
  • Knowledge of CoreBridge or similar shop management software.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to work in a production environment with printing and finishing equipment.
