Deco West / Glass and Growlers is hiring an on-site Production Graphic Artist in Las Vegas.
This is the office job before work goes to print. Most files arrive as Adobe Illustrator or customer logo files. Your job is to clean them, reduce them to one color or separate them for multi-color, and make them printable on glass, mugs, and drinkware. You will work with press and decal operators on curvature, tapers, and wrap.
This is not a brand-design, social media, or advertising job.
Pay: $20 to $25 per hour, based on production-art experience. Overtime after 40 hours in a workweek.
What you will do
- Open and clean customer AI and other logo files
- Reduce art to one color or build separations for multi-color print
- Fix bad vectors, extra spots, open paths, fonts, and unprintable detail
- Size and place art for glass, mugs, tapers, and curved surfaces
- Build print-ready files and proofs for customer approval
- Send a clean package to production and stay available when the press or decal operator needs an adjustment
- Handle job communication in Outlook
- Track notes and job status in Google Docs
- Solve file problems without waiting for someone to hold your hand
Requirements
- Strong Adobe Illustrator. This is the core skill
- Real production or prepress experience, not only school projects
- Strong Microsoft Outlook
- Working knowledge of Google Docs
- Independent problem solver
- Able to take feedback from the floor and change the file
- On-site in Las Vegas, Monday through Friday, shop hours
Nice to have
- Screen print, pad print, ceramic decal, or glass wrap experience
- Photoshop for cleanup only
- Understanding of trap, choke, spot colors, and minimum line weight
- Spanish
To apply

2. Two examples of production art you cleaned or separated for print
3. Confirmation you work in Illustrator daily
