Job description

Growing label and graphics manufacturing company is seeking a highly detail oriented Typesetter / Prepress Production Artist to join our team.

This position focuses on preparing and processing customer supplied artwork for print production. This is not a graphic design role. We are a printing and manufacturing environment, not a design studio.

• Perform accurate layout setup using Illustrator measurement tools, scaling, alignment, and dimension control

• Identify and correct issues related to size, proportion, resolution, fonts, and file construction

• Perform color corrections using Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop to meet production standards

• Generate and send proofs for customer approval

• Output files for multiple printing technologies including wide format digital printers

• Manage multiple jobs simultaneously while meeting production deadlines

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years experience in print production or prepress environment

• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator required

• Strong understanding of Illustrator measuring tools, scaling, positioning, and precision layout work

• Ability to accurately build files to exact dimensions and production specifications

• Experience performing color corrections in both Illustrator and Photoshop

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment

Important Note
