The Detroit Pistons are seeking a driven, relationship-focused Premium Seating Executive to generate new revenue through the sale of our premium seating portfolio, including courtside seating, club memberships, loge boxes, and contractual suite leases. This role is responsible for delivering consultative, best-in-class experience to corporate and high-net-worth clients throughout Metro Detroit and beyond.
Ideal candidates are proven sellers who thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, performance-driven environment; excel at building long-term relationships; and are motivated by growth, results, and delivering exceptional experiences. The right individual brings curiosity, discipline, and integrity to their work, takes pride in representing the Pistons brand at the highest level, and is energized by the opportunity to contribute to the continued success of a rising franchise.
What You'll Be Doing
Premium Sales & Revenue Generation
  • Drive new business through the sale of courtside seats, premium club memberships, loge boxes, and full-season suite leases.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of corporate and individual prospects across the Metro Detroit market.
  • Execute a consultative sales approach by understanding client objectives and aligning Pistons premium products to their business, entertainment, and hospitality needs.
  • Achieve and exceed individual revenue goals through disciplined prospecting, relationship development, and closing strategies.

Outbound Sales & Prospecting
  • Lead consistent outbound efforts including cold calling, networking, referrals, and lead follow-up using CRM best practices.
  • Generate a predetermined number of weekly out-of-office appointments, arena tours, and in-arena face-to-face meetings.
  • Utilize data, insights, and segmentation to identify high-value prospects and prioritize sales efforts effectively.

Client Experience & Relationship Management
  • Deliver an elevated, white-glove experience for all clients, prospects, and fans throughout the sales process.
  • Partner closely with Premium Service counterparts to ensure a seamless handoff and long-term client satisfaction.
  • Represent the Pistons brand with professionalism, credibility, and authenticity at games, events, and community engagements.

Collaboration & Innovation
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Business Intelligence, Corporate Partnerships, and Arena Operations to support premium sales initiatives.
  • Contribute ideas around packaging, programming, and creative sales strategies that enhance premium demand and differentiation.
  • Stay current on industry trends in premium seating, hospitality, and sports business to continuously elevate sales performance.
  • Perform other duties as needed to support the company's mission, vision, and values

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of four (4) years of successful sales experience, preferably in sports, hospitality, luxury, or B2B environments.
  • Proven ability to build relationships, manage a sales pipeline, and close high-value deals.
  • Existing Metro Detroit business relationships are a plus, but not required.
  • Competitive, self-motivated professional with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage senior-level executives and diverse client types.
  • Proficiency in CRM and sales technology (Salesforce, Archtics/Ticketmaster) and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in a live-events environment.
