Hoffer Plastics is hiring for "Machine Operator", "2nd shift".

Play a key role in producing plastic components that make everyday life possible, from transportation to food packaging to healthcare.

Starting Pay $18 (based on experience) + 4% Shift Premium

2nd Shift Hours are 4:00pm – 12:00am

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine duties to operate various plastic molding/assembly machines producing a wide variety of molded parts.
  • Visually scan for manufacturing defects, trim, sort, assemble, weigh/count and package parts.
  • Make up boxes, record, verify production labels and operate grinder.
  • Work from verbal and posted written instructions at the press.
  • Maintain work area in neat and orderly manner.
  • Housekeeping; maintaining the cleanliness and safety requirements
  • Report on defective material and equipment
  • Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity standards
  • Follow the GMP rules, safety rules and wearing required protective clothing or items.
  • All team members shall:
    • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
    • Continue to grow job specific knowledge and use tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
    • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  • Regular, predictable on-site attendance is an essential function of the job.

PHYSCIAL REQUIREMENTS:

The incumbent will:

  • usually stand/walk most of their work day
  • occasionally sit, stoop, kneel and crouch
  • occasionally lift, push, pull up to 30-50 pounds
  • use of specific vision abilities normally required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
  • infrequent use of finger/hand movements and keyboarding

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or G.E.D. certificate preferred.
  • Must be able to read/write/speak English
  • Basic math proficiency
