After you have worked for Agru America for 90 days, you will begin accruing vacation at a rate of 1.54 hours per week until you reach 5 years of full time service. The accrual rate increases at 5 years of service, and 10 years of service.

Responsibilities:

Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance

Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery

Follow production schedules and meet quality standards

Collaborate with team members to improve production processes

Maintain accurate records of production data and equipment maintenance

Adhere to safety protocols and promote a safe working environment

Assist in training new employees in manufacturing procedures

Maintains an understanding of the different types of raw materials and the appropriate manufacturing location where they should be utilized

Check the quality of products

Examines, measures, and weighs materials or products

Informs the shift supervisor about product quality problems, equipment problems and safety concerns

Any other duties that the Company in its sole discretion may assign as needed

Skills/Abilities Needed: 

Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills

Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints, preferred

Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Strong communication and teamwork abilities

Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime if necessary

Ability to troubleshoot and multitask

Basic mathematic skills

Team player who is reliable and trustworthy

Maintains a clean and safe work area

Verbal and written communication skills in English

Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent; required

Technical degree or certification, preferred

Experience with 5s, preferred

Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment +1 year, required

Experience as a machine mechanic, preferred

Some electrical, preferred

Overhead crane, preferred

Quality control experience, preferred

Forklift experience, required

Physical Requirements: 

Must be able to frequently lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds

This position requires, but is not limited to, standing, walking, utilizing stairs or ladders, driving automatic forklift, climbing, squatting, stooping, twisting, bending, grabbing and grasping

Must be able to work in a non-controlled environment
