Job description

Symphony Risk Solutions, LLC. is looking for an experienced and committed individual to join our team as a Full-Time Premium Accounts Payable Analyst. As an Accounts Payable Analyst, you will ensure accurate, efficient processing of insurance premium remittances from trust accounts to insurance companies. This role acts as a key financial liaison between the firm, clients, and underwriting insurers and wholesalers, maintaining strict fiduciary compliance and data integrity.

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Premium Remittance: PGenerate and distribute check, ACH, or wire payments from the companys premium trust account to insurers.
  • Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile insurer statements and account-current reports against internal ledger records; identify and resolve billing or booking discrepancies.
  • Maintain a strong control on premium advances to mitigate trust non-compliance and bad debts.
  • Premium Refunds: Process client return premium payments.
  • Cross Departmental Support: Communicate with account managers, producers, and servicing teams to clarify accounting discrepancies, uncollected balances, or missing insurer documentation



Requirements

COMPETENCIES: High attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage high-volume transactional workloads under strict deadlines.

EDUCATION: Associate or bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or business is preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to sit or stand at a desk.
  • Must be able to physically operate desktop computers, multiple monitors, proprietary software, phones, and common office equipment.
  • Occasional bending, reaching, and light lifting (up to 10 lbs.) is required.
  • The ability to effectively listen, understand, and communicate by telephone and in person is important to fulfilling the essential functions of the job.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position is a hybrid position requiring 3 days in our San Francisco, CA or Richardson, TX office and 2 days remote, after applicable training is complete.
  • Occasionally working after hours may be required to meet the demands and deadlines associated with the position.
  • The work environment involves the use of typical office equipment such as a computer, printer, telephone, etc. in a controlled climate.
