Position Summaryย 

We are seeking hardworking and safety-focused Construction Dry Utility Laborers to join our field team. In this role, you will support underground utility and site construction projects by performing a variety of physical labor tasks. You will work closely with crew members and foremen to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. This is a physically demanding, outdoor position with opportunities to grow your skills and advance within the company.ย 

Responsibilitiesย 

  • Perform manual labor to support site and utility construction projects.ย 
  • Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Perform work for underground dry utilities.
  • Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment.ย 
  • Clean and prepare job sites, including debris removal and site restoration.ย 
  • Excavate trenches and perform manual digging around existing utilities.ย 
  • Assist with installation of piping, conduit, and other utility infrastructure.ย 
  • Support skilled tradespeople and equipment operators as needed.ย 
  • Report equipment issues and perform light maintenance on tools.ย 
  • Follow all safety procedures, participate in daily safety briefings, and use required PPE.ย 
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.ย 

Qualificationsย 

  • Previous construction or labor experience preferred (utility or site work experience a plus).ย 
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.ย 
  • Comfortable working in trenches, confined spaces, and around active utilities.ย 
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and teamwork skills.ย 
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and company policies.ย 
  • Valid driverโ€™s license and reliable transportation to job sites.ย 

Preferred Qualificationsย 

  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.ย 
  • Experience with light equipment (e.g., compactors, saws, mini excavators).ย 
  • Additional safety certifications (e.g., Flagger, Confined Space, First Aid/CPR).ย 

Physical Requirementsย 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and perform manual tasks for extended periods.ย 
  • Lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly; push/pull up to 100 lbs as needed.ย 
  • Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, or rain.ย 
  • Manual dexterity to operate tools and equipment safely.ย
