Job description

Shipping Department Position

Underground Printing (UGP's) Mission Statement is to help bring customer communities to life through custom branded apparel & merchandise.

Underground has experienced rapid growth, ranking in the Inc 5000 fastest growing companies 9 times, including 2019. We produce all of our printed apparel in our production facility in Michigan & with 173,000 SF of screen printing and embroidery production and over 250+ employees. We consistently rank in the top 10 largest screen printers by volume in the U.S. and are one of the fastest growing online clothing retailers.

We serve both B2C and B2B customers such as non profits, retailers, and Universities through our 22 store and office locations across the United States. Additionally we help brands and licensors sell online both through company branded and marketplace websites.

We're looking for a highly motivated, self-driven individual to work in our shipping department.

We work in a fast paced environment that requires attention to detail and quick thinking.

This position starts at $16 an hour with the opportunity for advancement. We provide on the job, paid training!

First shift is Monday through Friday, 7a-3p. Second shift is Monday through Friday, 3p-11p. Optional overtime available.

Responsibilities would include (but are not limited to):

  • Make local deliveries using company vehicles
  • Load and unload products safely and efficiently
  • Pull and organize orders for production and shipping
  • Receive, sort, and maintain warehouse inventory
  • Assist with packing, shipping, and warehouse organization
  • Ensure deliveries are accurate and on time
  • Communicate delivery updates and issues to the team
  • Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment

What We're Looking For:

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
  • Ability to lift and move boxes/products throughout the shift
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills
  • Team player with a positive attitude
  • Warehouse, shipping, delivery, or inventory experience is a plus โ€” but we will train the right person

Requirements

  • Ability to meet the physical demands of this job including lifting, pushing, pulling of products.
  • Ability to work independently and also function in a team environment.
  • This position requires punctuality, problem solving and attention to detail.
  • Qualified candidates must be able to work on their feet all day, have the ability to lift boxes up to 50 lbs., and be able to work independently.
  • Must possess strong work ethic and ability to operate with limited supervision.
