Role Overview:

We are seeking a results-driven professional to drive growth in the underground tunneling sector across the Western USA. This role focuses on expanding market opportunities, managing key customer relationships, and implementing strategic solutions. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background in tunneling concrete applications, a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience), and at least five years in the industry, including sales or account management experience.

Key responsibilities include providing technical support, troubleshooting, and training, as well as representing the company at industry events. This position requires excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, the ability to work in underground environments, and frequent travel (50%+). A valid passport is required.

Primary Responsibility:

  • Drive Growth within Tunneling Sector:
  • Drive growth opportunities across the Western USA through our network of concrete industry contacts, customers, sales representatives and new business prospects
  • Collaborate to develop Master Builder Solutions' strategies within the underground tunneling sector
  • Assist with implementing the introduction of new solutions into the tunneling sector
  • Primary point of contact within business for Key Customers
  • Work with design professionals and contractor focused on the Tunneling Industry to increase our market share and successfully win projects
  • Collaborate and work with local territory sales teams to support new and existing customers within the tunneling sector
  • Utilize SalesForce for tracking and reporting growth opportunities for new business.
  • Provide Technical Support:
  • Viewed as technical expert within business for Annular Grouting, Soil Conditioning, Microfine Cement, Injection and other technologies in the tunneling sector to assist with customer trials and training
  • Assist with troubleshooting issues related to applications within underground tunnel projects, both on-site and off-site.
  • Collaborate with customers to address specific challenges and tailor solutions to their needs.
  • Customer Interactions:
  • Provide voice of customer for the underground tunneling sector.
  • Assist with trainings and workshops to educate internal teams and customers on the benefits and best practices.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in underground tunneling technology and share knowledge within the organization.
  • Represent and promote our organization at appropriate industry associations and participate to learn about the needs and trends of the tunneling industry.
  • Other Duties:
  • Help demonstrate and create value through innovative and sustainable concrete admixture solutions
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and regulations in the development and application of product portfolio
  • Implement and comply with company initiatives, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree related is required, however, experience in lieu of education will be considered. An Engineering or Tunneling Technology degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience within the underground tunneling industry.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in account management and sales with a demonstrated history of closing new business and driving technology is preferred.
  • A strong understanding of the key drivers within the Underground Tunneling Industry (Specific experience to concrete preferred).
  • Strong technical knowledge of annular grouting, microfine cements, soil conditioning and Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM) Experience is preferred.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

  • This position spends a significant amount of time underground on customer sites ; requiring the ability to access jobsites that may consist of entering underground tunnels. The employee must be comfortable in the underground tunneling environment.
  • Willingness to travel frequently (50%+) to customer production facilities. This position requires a valid passport.
