Job description

Local parking company is seeking full-time Operations Attendant to enforce on our parking lots and in our garages.

This position is a mix of a 2nd and 3rd shift. Weekends are required. Your days off will be through the week. You must have a valid driver's license and your own transportation because you will use your own car for work and you will be reimbursed mileage on a monthly basis. You will be required to show proof of the car's current registration and insurance.

The Operations Attendant will be responsible for maintaining the safety and efficiency of our parking areas. The role includes enforcing parking rules and regulations, issuing parking tickets, maintaining the cleanliness of the parking area, and reporting any suspicious activities or incidents.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service
    • Greet and assist customers with parking inquiries, directions, and payment instructions.
    • Provide information on parking rates, passes, and facility policies.
    • Handle customer complaints or escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Operations and Enforcement
    • Monitor daily parking activities to ensure smooth traffic flow and proper use of spaces.
    • Operate and troubleshoot entry/exit gates, ticket machines, and payment systems.
    • Assist during peak hours, special events, or emergencies to manage vehicle flow.
    • Check for valid parking permits and passes.
    • Issue citations or notices for violations in accordance with company policy.
    • Support enforcement team with operational needs when required.
  • Monitoring and Reporting
    • Conduct routine inspections of parking areas, equipment, and signage.
    • Report maintenance issues, hazards, or equipment malfunctions promptly.
    • Help maintain facility cleanliness and a safe environment for customers.
    • Complete shift logs, incident reports, and operational checklists.
    • Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding facility status.

Qualifications:

Educational and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in customer service, parking, or facility operations preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash, credit, and electronic transactions accurately.
  • Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach and perform light physical tasks for extended periods.
  • Drivers License with clean driving record.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Dependable, punctual, and able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds.
  • Drive personal vehicle during work to multiple locations.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or assigned.

Applicants will be required to pass a pre-employment criminal background check, drug test and a motor vehicle records check.
