  • Facilities MRO Information Systems Intern
    Requisition Summary
    The Facilities MRO Information Systems Intern will support facilities maintenance operations by assisting with the day-to-day management and improvement of Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) information systems. This role provides hands-on experience working with CMMS/EAM/ERP platforms that support asset management, predictive analytics, and inventory control. The intern will collaborate with facilities MRO manager, maintenance, engineering, supply chain, and IT teams to help improve data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and overall system effectiveness. This position offers practical exposure to how information systems support MRO inventory planning, operational parts reliability, and data-driven decision-making in a manufacturing environment.
  • Job Functions & Responsibilities
    • Assist with maintaining and updating CMMS/EAM/ERP system data, including asset records, work orders, preventive maintenance tasks, and inventory information.
    • Support data validation and cleanup efforts to improve system accuracy, consistency, and usability.
    • Help develop and maintain standard maintenance and inventory reports, including work order backlog, preventive maintenance compliance, inventory usage, and equipment downtime trends.
    • Analyze system data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for process or system improvements.
    • Support spare parts and inventory optimization activities through basic usage analysis and data review.
    • Document system workflows, data standards, and user procedures to promote consistent and effective system use.
    • Create clear, user-friendly job aids and reference materials for facilities maintenance and storeroom users.
    • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to maintenance processes, data quality, and system effectiveness.
    • Prepare a summary of internship activities, key learnings, and recommendations through a final report or presentation.

    Qualifications and Skills
    • Currently pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain, Facilities Management, or related fields.
    • Strong interest in maintenance systems, asset management, and data-driven process improvement.
    • Basic understanding of data management and reporting concepts; exposure to CMMS/EAM systems is preferred.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with data analysis or reporting tools is a plus.
    • Strong attention to detail with the ability to organize and manage information effectively.
