What Drives Success
We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake & Turret Punch Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brakes and turret punch presses to fabricate precision sheet metal components. The ideal candidate has strong blueprint reading skills, experience interpreting fabrication drawings, and a commitment to producing high-quality parts while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Set up, program, and operate CNC press brakes to manufacture precision sheet metal components according to engineering specifications.
  • Set up and operate CNC turret punch presses to produce accurate, high-quality parts.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and sheet metal fabrication prints to determine machining requirements.
  • Develop flat patterns from engineering drawings to ensure proper fabrication of formed parts.
  • Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and program adjustments to optimize production efficiency.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, protractors, and other inspection tools, to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Troubleshoot equipment and production issues, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and productivity.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing processes and resolve fabrication challenges.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Accurately document production activities and maintain quality records.

What We Are Looking For
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brakes.
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC turret punch presses.
  • Ability to read and interpret sheet metal fabrication drawings and engineering blueprints.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring tools, including calipers, protractors, and other inspection equipment.
  • Ability to create flat patterns from engineering drawings for formed sheet metal parts.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brakes.
  • 5+ years of experience setting up, programming, and operating CNC turret punch presses.
  • Experience using CAD software, preferably PTC Creo and Windchill.
  • Experience in a custom fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement practices.

What We Offer
Compensation: This is a salaried non-exempt role. This means that employees are paid a salary and also receive overtime pay when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law). The starting salary range for this role and market is between $65,600 - $86,100 annually. Factors that may affect starting salary include geography/market and the skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
Employees in this role are also eligible for abonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's applicable plan.
Benefits: Subject to applicable eligibility requirements, the following benefits are offered for this role: tuition reimbursement; medical, dental, and vision insurance; prescription drug coverage; 401(k) retirement plan; short-term disability insurance; 8 weeks paid birthing leave; 2 weeks paid bonding leave; life and long-term disability insurance.
Depending on date of hire, and subject to applicable eligibility requirements, new employees in this role also receive up to: 12 days paid time off, 2 paid well-being days, 1 paid volunteer day, 12 paid holidays, and 3 floating holidays per year.
